Good morning team, I don’t have time for a long debrief. We were 2nd, it was the GC’s night, reaching deep and on the ‘upwind’ reaching close. God bless them. But we performed pretty well. The team found the wind and we took advantage of the pressure to do a great circle around the fleet at the windward mark (took a while but it took the fleet longer). At the leeward mark (that we close reached up to) we realized that the pole was a distraction to the jib up and spin down process, since we were doing the process ⅞ of the way to the mark and we were not immediately rounding. Distracted. But it came out in the end. Lynn’s constant jib trim mirrored Andrew’s work on the weekend - it make gains. So 2nd, thank you all.
