260519 SJE - PEYC is not ready to start racing on 2026-May-20, Wednesday. So Oh!‘s team will do some practicing.

260322 SJE - Some of you have had a look at the calendar. Thanks! Note, not only does Oh! sail on the week nights but we have regattas to staff up. Please consider which events you a can do on the weekends as well.
Another point - TUESDAY in the RS21 program out of Kingston we have opportunities for team members to sail - often it will be Sue Fraser and I, needing 1 or 2 more crew. The RS21 is an exciting boat. I’m hoping to give the team more exposure to other boats, so this is one of those.
If you find that you want to sail but you are 7th on the list of 6 - please let me know. I am hoping we can get you a ride on another PEYC boat - you can show them stuff and they can show you stuff - win/win.
Finally, when you are signing on as a SPARE Please put “S” in front of your name to note that you want to be spare.
EXTRA STOP THE PRESSES - Sailing School Boat Charter - Many of you may know that the Sailing School is coming to PEYC this season. Instead of being hidden away in Waupoos. We are excited to have the opportunity to interact with the young sailors and the instructors. Some of you will remember sailing with Emmett toward the end of the season, he is an instructor. So we will have a bunch of roto-moulded indestructable dinghies in the parking lot for the summer. I want to charter them for a full day on a saturday or a sunday (that isn’t otherwise taken by a regatta) and have our Sailing Team play with them. For adults these are one person, single sail boats. Easy peasy. I want to get us all out on the water and do a little practice and a little racing. I think it would be a BLAST. I haven’t approached the club about this idea yet. I want to canvas our team to see how much interest there is in this before I make my approach. Please chime in in the WhatsApp group or to me privately. Thanks all.
