Into every gybe the pair reshuffles: the sheet trimmer comes into the cockpit and takes both the working spinnaker sheet and the guy through the turn (Fly the kite through the gybe), while the guy trimmer breaks the pole down — unclips the mast end, frees the afterguy and topping lift, and works from the pit handing the Mast person whatever he needs for the trip (Trip and gybe the pole). Two people on the pole beats one scrambling: the new set-up is his to hand back once Bow clips on.
