Admin — moderation and the comments sweep
Race review pages take comments from anyone with a name and email. Nothing appears publicly until you approve it.
Approving comments
- New comments arrive in the Hyvor Talk console (talk.hyvor.com) — you’ll get an email when one comes in.
- In the console, Publish it to show it on the site, or Delete / Spam it.
You approve; that’s the whole moderation model. If you ever get spam or strangers abusing it, tell Hermes and we’ll gate comments behind sign-in instead.
The sweep — comments become part of the record
Two weeks after an event, Publish Sailing automatically writes that event’s approved comments into the vault note itself, under a Comments heading at the bottom.
- After that, the comments are part of the review’s permanent record — in Obsidian and on the site — not just in Hyvor.
- It’s safe to re-run: each comment is marked with a hidden ID so it is never duplicated.
- A comment approved later than two weeks still gets captured on a later publish.
Renaming caution
Comments attach to a page by its address. If you rename a published race note, its existing comments stay with the old address — tell Hermes before renaming a page that has comments.
