Race Review
All white sail. Great start, at the RC popped out, Mark on Lickety was behind me. None of the other boats mattered, its was nip and tuck with Mark until the last tack at the end of the race. Oh! is so not arranged for single handing. The autohelm was hopelessly unreliable. Useless. I have to hand steer with my knees holding the hiking stick while I trimmed the #1. The autohelm almost always brought the boat up head to wind - exasperating. And of course sailing the #1 is a hand full. Exhausting. Anyway boat for boat, final cross I am on starboard, Mark lee bows me directly in front - I can’t see him but I am moving and so I move positions to try to see and my bow comes up and slows. I should have thrown a protest flag but I was busy and tired.
That failure to protest was the race. I couldn’t stay there and so tacked away.
That one move bought Mark 54 seconds in the last 4 minutes of the race.
Mark may not have done anything illegal, but it was unbelievably dangerous to throw in such a tight manoeuvre single handing with big sails.
I should have continued straight and let the chips fall where they may. Duh. Tired.
Lessons Learned
I have to remember that Oh! is not a single hander. Its too much for me without a perfect autohelm in any event. Not to future Steve - no Around Along on that boat - take DuckSoup and live the good life.

Herculean effort! Too bad about the auto helm :(
You put another great result on the board for Oh!
Way to go!!
